The Gospel is a story that Jesus shared - a story of Good News. We are rural and urban and we are always about the message of Jesus.
YFC is a Christian movement with over 140 chapters across the country beginning in 1944. YFC pursues young people who often feel overlooked to build relationships at pivotal moments. YFC partners with local churches and like-minded organizations to reach young people. We believe the Gospel comes to life in the overlap of God’s story, our story, and a young person's story.
The Adams, Jay, and Wells county area YFC opened its doors in 1991, emerging from the Fort Wayne area chapter. Blackford and Grant counties were absorbed into the already existing area in July 2007, creating the acronym BiGJAWs for the abbreviation of each county that we serve.
In 2021 we began actively working to create engaging experiences for youth in our partnership with YFC India to promote Christ on the other side of the globe. Our name changed one more time to BIGJAWs, with our "i" becoming capitalized.

We know how a pivotal moment can shape a story, because we’ve been through them ourselves. We also know that young people experiencing pivotal moments often feel over-looked and under-served, walking through their story without someone in their corner.
Unwavering Commitment
Since 1944, we’ve had an unwavering commitment to meet 11-19 year olds in pivotal moments, and to introduce them to the hope of Christ. From holding rallies with Billy Graham in the 40’s, to entering campuses to reach students in the 60’s, to now empowering community leaders to build meaningful relationships with young people everywhere—it’s our aim to walk with young people through their story, and to be the friend and mentor that we’ve longed for ourselves.
